Barcelona Shopping…

Well I have managed to have a little vacation to Barcelona to relax and unwind. Which was needed after the stresses of working over the holiday season. So naturally I had to visit a Sephora seen as the UK still do not have one (Sad Face). I must say I was not disappointed when I finally found one close to La Rambla which is a big shopping street in Barcelona. I’m pretty sure that it was the biggest Sephora I have ever visited and that is saying something as I have shopped Sephora is France, Monaco, USA and UAE. I was very spoilt for choice so I couldn’t help myself to add to my collection.

First on my purchase list was the Marc Jacobs Eye-Conic Multi-Finish eyeshadow palette in Edgitorial. I have been eyeing up these palettes for a while and since I’m on holiday why not treat myself.

So first thing to mention about these palettes is that the colours are super pigmented so you really are going to get a burst of colour. In the palette you get 7 colours with a mixture of finishes: Buttery Matte Velvet, Shimmering Satin, Sparkling Silk and Metallic Lamé. The colour that really stood out was the gold so I am really excited to try a look. Maybe an Egyptian look with a bold cat eye liner.

Following on from the eyeshadows I have been looking for a different colour eyeliner than the standard black that I always land up using. So this purple colour by Marc Jacobs is the perfect change. It is still a dark colour so is pigmented enough to be bold but also is a clear difference than black. Sometimes (mainly days that I’m out the house by 5.45am) I don’t tend to use much products on my eyes because I rather stay in bed (no judgement). So a simple eyeliner and mascara is all I do. So changing up the colour is an easy way to change up a look without the added effort.

The last thing on the haul that was new is the Farsali Rose Gold Elixir which has been super hyped on social media. So I was super excited to try especially as had 30% off with my Sephora card! (Super Bargain). There are so many ways that you can use this product but the way I have used it so far is like a base for my foundation. It gives your skin that glowing look. I’ve tried it with the Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation and it has worked beautifully. I also tried it with the Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation which also worked just as a good as a base. Another way to use it is on your lips which will keep your lips hydrated even when using matte lipsticks. Just need a few drops applied to the lips and you just need to wait for it to absorb before applying your lipstick.
