Well I don’t need an excuse to go into Space NK so when you get a £50 voucher from the last free gift you received then its time to head down to my local store Muswell Hill.
It didn’t take me long to decide that I need to expand my Diptyque collection with this gorgeous Coffret découverte 5 faux de parfum (Discovery set of 5 eau de parfum). You can purchase this from Space NK
In this set you get 5 scents in Do Son – L’Ombre dans l’Eau – Philosykos – Tam Dao – Vetyverio. Each of them are 7.5ml in size.
“Perfume is an art and art is a journey. Let your senses and your mind travel through five olfactory landscapes with this collection of beautiful Diptyque fragrances” – Diptyque
You really do get a range of fragrances in this set with each one different from the last.
Do Son: Divinely mysterious tuberose unveils its powers of seduction on a bed of berries and flowers. It is embraced by the fresh sweetness of a sea breeze, like a pagoda on the edge of the Gulf of Tonkin.
L’Ombre Dans L’Eau: Reminiscent of a walk in an English garden, filled with Bulgarian rose petals and leaves of the blackcurrant bush. The scent of sap graciously freshens up this idyllic and rural escapade.
Philosykos: The sun at its zenith heated the earth, the dry wind carried the scent of the trees and their fruit. Philosykos is an ode to the entire fig tree: the green, pungent freshness of the leaves, the wood warmed in the sun, the milky flavour of the figs.
Tam Dao: a spicy fragrance based on the scents of the rainforest. It has a musky blend of rosewood, cypress and ambergris, coupled with rich and exotic sandalwood from Goa.
Vetyverio: Like inlaid wood, vetiver reveals unexpected facets: sometimes fresh, other times smoky or even subtly floral. Vetiver from Haiti takes centre stage, it reveals itself in a pure state, without artifice, drawing its elegant, smoky nature from this volcanic rock.
The set is limited edition so expect to fly out way before Christmas. It really does make a beautiful present for someone special or perfect treat of the week for yourself. Either way this is a definite winner in my books. Tres Bien Diptyque!
